Moxie Dance Project takes Aerial Masterclass and Donates to Salvation Army
October 6, 2017
In case you missed it, on August 12th Moxie Dance Project participated in a masterclass with Aerial Dance Chicago. The dancers got to take their dancing to new heights and learn the art of moving in the air.
All of the dancers were required to bring a food donation to the Salvation Army located next door. This particular Salvation Army hosts food drives three times a week where by early morning there is a line full of local community members who take advantage of this opportunity during their difficult times.
When I took the donation bags to the front desk there was a woman signing herself and her mother up for the weekly food drive. She approached me with a smile and graciously said thank you, and how much she appreciated the fact that we were able to donate.
Simple and kind gestures go a long way and we are very proud of MDP being able to make a difference in peoples lives even in the little ways.
We hope to take another masterclass in the future and be able to donate again!
Thank you for everyone who participated in this event.
